From Sowing Healing to Harvest!

Mark 4:14

14 The sower sows the word.
NKJV

Mark 4:26-29

26 And He said, "The kingdom of God is as if a man should scatter seed on the ground,
27 and should sleep by night and rise by day, and the seed should sprout and grow, he himself does not know how.
28 For the earth yields crops by itself: first the blade, then the head, after that the full grain in the head.
29 But when the grain ripens, immediately he puts in the sickle, because the harvest has come."
NKJV

My Comments:

We know that Jesus in His lesson on the power of the Seed likened it as to the Word of God being planted in the hearts of men.We also know that we sow the Word into our lives by our confession.

What we must also remember is that seeds take time to grow! It may seem obvious to some, but sometimes the obvious is not so obvious when we get blindsided by situations that crop up, especially in the area of health.

In Mark 4:26-29, Jesus described the seed and its natural process of growth after having been sowed into the ground. We could go into all the various scientific processes as to how it sprouts and grows, but do we really have to know that? All we have to know is that depending on the condition of the ground, the seed we sowed would eventually grow and produce a harvest that we could then reap.

Likewise when we're faced with sickness or disease, we should recognize that from the moment we sowed God's Word regarding healing in our bodies; that a harvest is on the way! It may take a short time, it may take a while, but it's still coming!

We don't know how it's coming; we don't have to know, all we need to know is that if we hold fast to our faith in God that His resurrection power is at work in us, our harvest of healing is coming! What we sow, we will reap!
