Call On His Name And Be Saved!

Rom 10:13

13 For "whoever calls on the name of the LORD shall be saved."
NKJV

My Comments:

Paul, in writing to the Church in Rome; made this simple but strong statement that "Whoever calls on the name of the Lord shall be saved." To God, there is no difference between a Jew and a Gentile who stands before Him in prayer. In simple terms, He does not play favorites!

In fact, the root word for the word 'whoever' is the word 'pas'. One of its meanings is simply 'whoever'! It's that simple, that 'whoever' means 'whoever'! If a Jew calls on the Name of Jesus, they'll be saved! If we call on His Name, we'll be saved!

If you're struggling in a situation that you just can't seem to break out of, just call on the Name of Jesus and see that situation turn itself around!

On another point, the root word for 'saved' is the Greek word 'sozo' which means the following: to save, i.e. deliver or protect (literally or figuratively):  heal, preserve, save (self), do well, be (make) whole.

As much as it applies to the salvation of the person's soul, have you noticed that most of its meanings have something to do with recovery of  your health? By just taking that verse as it is, you can call on the Name of the Lord if you're sick, and know that He's working on your behalf to cause you to recover from whatever health issue you're suffering from!

The topic of prayer is extensive, and it can lead into a discussion on the subject of Divine Healing and what God has so graciously provided for us in His Word regarding it. I intend to share within the next few posts on what Divine Healing is, some wrong beliefs concerning it, but most importantly; how we can believe God for Divine Healing in our bodies based on His Word.
